Nordic home in the South of France

This beautiful home is located in Vence, in the South of France. It's owned by the danish Christina Winther (owner of Finnegan & me), her husband and their five children. The home is very nicely decorated in a nordic minimalism style. The interior is a fine combination of Scandinavian design and ethnic pieces, which gives the home a lot of character. Wouldn't you love to have a home like this abroad?

Swedish apartment

I love looking around on websites of Swedish real estate agents. It's great how they always style those houses they have for sale. It makes them look as a home you would want to live in right away. The presentation of those houses can be a good example for dutch real estate agents.
The home shown here (via Stadshem) is lovely styled, love the vintage and industrial pieces added to it. It's all quit simple, but the combination makes it just perfect!

Green is hot

Green bottles by Studio Joyz

Green is hot! It's been a 'trending topic' on dutch interior blogs these last couple of weeks. Partly due to the dutch interiormagazine VT wonen whose latest issue featured '50 shades of green'. And indeed, when looking around, there are so many green colours. I must say it's not really my kind of colour in my interior, but a little green here and there can make a nice picture. I've made a collection of 'green' images I found, but I'm sure there are many more shades of green around!

Let's go outside

At last the weather has cleared up here. We have had some beautiful sunny days, and the forecast looks very promising! So time to go outside and enjoy the outside living. I have collected some images of lovely outdoor settings. I love the beautiful fig trees on the pictures above and below. On our roofterrace we have had two olivetrees that unfortunately didn't survive last winter, so now I'm looking for a substitute. I think I'll go for the fig trees. Love them with the lanterns hanging on the branches.....Hope you all have some nice sunny days!
